The Swedish hall problem
From November onward, entryways fill with damp outerwear. Small apartments on Södermalm often have halls barely wider than a person with shopping bags. We design shallow cabinets, open hook rails, and benches with ventilated shoe shelves so water can dry without soaking the floorboards.
Modules that fit
Hook wall + seat
A 30–40 cm deep bench with hooks above — sit to remove boots, hang the coat, store umbrellas in a side sleeve.
Full-height cupboard
Closed fronts for a tidy Östermalm foyer look, with an open lower bay for daily shoes.
Materials for wet weather
Wipeable laminates, powder-coated hooks, and removable drip trays. Soft gold hardware accents stay visible against navy sample boards in our studio — chosen because they hide fingerprints better than polished chrome in family homes.

Combining with bedroom closets
Many projects pair an entry unit with a bedroom reach-in so bulky coats leave the sleeping space. We quote both as one package when measured on the same visit.

Entry storage typically costs 12 000–28 000 SEK. Larger built-in halls with mirrored doors approach the mid package band. Consults 1 500–2 800 SEK.
